Ya know, I've been studying on Vic's cartoon for a bit now. Remember it was Vic who came up with the phrase 'old coots' that we use in the scroll on the Forum. Well, I see that Radio Operator Guy as us. Yup, just another old coot with the proverbial beer-belly. The tongue's hanging out showing his, our, exasperations from knowing we have memories that are yet to be recalled.
Speaking of supervisors, I don't recall the name of mine, but I sure got a good picture of him in my mind. Tall and lanky. (probably just another old coot now, whom I'd never know).
When we were in Orlando at our last reunion, Joe walked into the lobby of the hotel and was hailed by someone at the desk. The clerk was telling a fella standing there that this guy (Joe) was with the Navy group having the reunion. Joe walks over to the counter and the guy says, holding out his hand, "I'm dan Stanley". Joe takes a moment to size him up and says "no, you're not". Dan says "Yes I am" and ...you can take it from there..
...of course, both Joe and Dan look eaxactly like they did 40+ years ago
What a hoot!
So, David, just keep massaging your gray matter with that finger I see you rubbing againt your head...when those memories start pouring out, pour them our way - here on the Forum. ..Ya know they'll get eye-opening thinkin' going on
